HRC Minutes 2007 10-17-07 APPROVED United City of Yorkville Human Resource Commission October 17, 2007 Location: Police Department Conference Room Called to Order: Jeff called meeting called to order at 6:08pm. Requests for Sponsorship: I. Kendall County food pantry withdrew their,request H. Chamber of Commerce River night- An in-kind donation for police to help direct traffic A/E. Cecelia recommends NAMIDKK.with $100 donation. B, Mutual Ground, Inc. - Cecelia recommends $100.. C. Golf Outing—no donation required, city pays dues. D. BKFD Fireworks Sponsorship -Yes, local and recommend $100 F. Rolling on the River, located at the Hoover Ed. Ctr. Resubmit for Hoover Cu. And not Wally's team G, Trinity Church -No, denied because not for public use. .J.. Salvation Army Golden Diners requests a donation $250 is to be donated K. Kendall County Health Department Pr'ogr'am requests a donation. Yes, $250, 2. New Schedule Approved Page 2—HRC Old Business: Historic Street Name Program: a. Nominee Rita Murphy was submitted and is to be sent to the COW for discussion, b. The list of historic names has been a concern as well as how to get more people to submit nominees. Rose suggested a name dropping event. We could also send apps to senior organizations, Boy Scout Troop leaders. We could also put highlights in newsletter as to who was recently approved. Lastly, if any citizen in Yorkville has lived to be 100+ should they be added? Brochures: Veterans Assistance Commission of Kendall Country brochure was APPROVED Shay Healthcare Services was DENIED Provena Home Care, not close enough to Yorkville, more local location if possible. Hill Lilli Hounds Doggy Daycare was DENIED Additional Business: Tom requested to see where our funds have been received and spent. We need to prepare for the next year. Request copies of the past three years of all financial transactions regarding HRC. Tom mentioned that Menards offers rebates on items, after the money is rebated, the items can be donated,. Lorene may not be returning due to an illness. A nominee will be submitted.
