Mayor Kittoe called the meeting to order at
7 : 30 p . m . , and led the Council in the Pledge
of Allegiance .

Alderman Pfister moved to waive the reading Minutes Approval
of the minutes from the May 23 , 1991 City
Council meeting , and approve them as presented ,
secondec by Alderman Bown . Motion carried .
Alderman Pfister moved to authorize payment
of the bills as presented , seconded by
Alderman Jahp . Deputy Clerk Erickson called
the ro11 :

Motion carried 7 - 1 .
It was questioned as to why the old squad
car , that was to be turned over to the
City Administrator was licensed for Police
use . The matter was referred to committee
for further discussion .
CITIZEN COMMENTS - Scott Olson requested the
dog problem in Appletree Ct . be addressed .
There are 7 dogs in the duplex next to him ,
that are creating an odorous mess .
Aldeman Pfister moved to refer the dog problem
to the June 20 , 1991 Committee of the Whole
meeting , seconded by Alderman Bown . Motion
carried .

Mayor Kittoe announced the Disaster Plan will
be discussed at the June 20 , 1991 Committee of
the Whole meeting .
Mayor Kittoe reported that he has had discus -
sion with Amy of TCD Services regarding a once
a week pickup of one large item or appliance
per week with garbage pickup rather than the
twice a year junk pickup days .
Alderman Fey moved to go on a 6 month trial
basis with TCD for the one large item per
week pickup , seconded by Alderman Bown .
Motion carried .
The old squad car matter was referred to the
June 20 , 1991 Committee of the Whole meeting .

Mayor Kittoe reported that on Tuesday, June City Adm .
18 , 1991 , he will meet with Fran Klaas and Position
go over the resumes received for the City
Administrator Position for a recommendation
to City Council at the June 20 the Committee
of the Whole meeting .

Mayor Kittoe reported that he will have a City City Clerk ' s
Clerk recommendation for the June 20 , 1991 Position
Committee of the Whole meeting .
BUDGET OFFICER ' S REPORT - Delene Drew reported Preliminary
the Preliminary Budget Report for fiscal Budget Report
1990 -91 was distributed for everyone ' s review .
Any questions may be directed to her at the
June 20 , 1991 Committee of the Whole meeting .
Delene Drew reported that she will meet with
a representative of the new audit firm to
schedule for fiscal 1990 - 91 audit .
CITY ADMINISTRATOR ' S REPORT - Joe Moore reported
on the status of Well # 3 .
Alderman Baird moved to replace the Beecher
Building stalls in the men ' s restroom , at a
cost of $ 1364 . 00 , seconded by Alderman Pfister .

Acting Administrator Joe Moore reported that Prairie Park
Prairie Park Subdivision sanitary sewer is 800
complete , the water is 50a complete , and the
storm sewers are 70a complete .
The matter of holding a wedding in the gazebo Gazebo Wedding
in the City Park was discussed , and referred to
the Park Board meeting on Wednesday , June 19 ,
1991 for further discussion and recommendations .
PUBLIC WORKS REPORT - Alderman Pfister moved

REPORT - Alderman Fey announced the next meeting

TENNIS COURTS REPORT - Aldlerman Bown reported
the tennis courts are being adequately used .
SCHOOL COMMUNITY REPORT - Alderwoman Clark
reported that she was not in attendance at
the last school board meeting .
OLD BUSINESS - Alderman Bown reported that he
has not had the opportunity to get together
with Attorney Kramer to date .

Alderman Baird reported that the Redistricting Redistricting
Committee for Wards of the City met and it was
the decision that they will not make changes
at this time .

NEGOTIATIONS - Alderman Fey set a meeting for the Negotiations
Committee for Wednesday , June 19 , 1991 at 7 : 00
p . m . at City Hall .
PUBLIC RELATIONS - Alderman Pfister reported
there is a piece mising from the Route 34
City Sign .
Alderman Baird will be referring the names
on the sign for service men /women to the
fire department to invite to the 4th of
July parade .
BUILDING & ZONING - No report .
FUTURE PLANNING - No report .
WATER - Alderman Pfister reported there is a Radium
good chance the radium standard will be in-
creased in the near future .
Alderman Pfister announced that congratulations J . Moore
are in order to Joe Moore on a 90% successful Water Operator

passage his test for Class B Water Operator . Class B License
Resolution
Alderman Baird moved to draft a resolution
commending Joe Moore , to be placed in his
personnel file .
SEWERS - Alderman Fey asked where the City
stands with the sewer line to Route 71 .
Alderman Pfister responded that the final
revolving loan 1project work needs to be
completed and accepted . The Certification
of Publication has been forwarded to them by
Deputy Clerk Erickson . The approval of the
facilities plan has already been sent .
The acceptance of the passage of revenue
regarding the new sewer maintenance ordinance
has been referred to Attorney Kramer which
is an important part that needs to be done .
STREETS & ALLEYS - Alderman Fey reported
that he has checked out the tar and chipping
for about 4 or 5 houses on E . Washington Street ,
Rt . 47 / 71 Sewer

Scott Olson interrupted the meeting to ask that Appletree Ct .
the chuck hole from hydrant flushing be checked
on Appletree Court .
The matter of the appliances and old rugs behind
one of the businesses in the downtown area was
referred to Alderman Baird .

HEALTH & SANITATION - No report .
YORKVILLE BUSINESS & ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT -
Alderman Jahp reported on the June 6 , 1991
Committee of the Whole meeting . He has
spoken with Jack Purcell regarding his
feelings on Countryside Center . There is
a Pamida store in Sandwich that is going to
close and they have an interest in locating
in Countryside Center . The City Council
will send a letter to them inviting them
to attend a meeting for further discussion .
Due to the change in address with Bob Lee ' s
business on S . Bridge St . , the city will be
receiving approximately $ 28 , 000 sales tax
revenue in the coming year .
YBSD BOARD REPRESENTATIVE - Alderman Pfister
announced the next meeting will be Monday ,
June 17 , 1991 at Dallas Ingemunson ' s office ,
at 6 : 30 p . m .

chosen as the new Library Director .

announced that there will be a Public Hearing Schiffleger/Funk
before the June 27 , 1991 City Council meeting Annexation
for the Schiffleger/ Funk Annexation , at 7 : 45
p . m .
ADDITIONAL BUSINESS - Alderman Fey reported on Weeds
the weed problem at the south end of Mill St .
on the Olson property .
Alderman Fey reported that the advertisement
sign on the S /E corner of Route 47 & E . Fox
is in a precarious place .
