Ordinance 2007-045 STATE OF ILLINOIS ) ss COUNTY OF KENDALL ) I ORDINANCE No. 2007- S; ORDINANCE AMENDING CITY CODE TITLE 1— ADMINISTRATION, SECTION 1 -6 -5 -C REMOVING CITY ATTORNEY STIPEND Whereas the United City of Yorkville has taken up, discussed and considered amending the City Code Title 1, Section 1 -6 -5 -C (enacted by Ordinance 1975 -2, amended by 1994 code and Ordinance 2006 -29), and specifically to remove the City Attorney Stipend contained in paragraph C of section 1 -6 -5, and Whereas the Mayor and City Council have discussed that it may be prudent to amend Title 1 -- Administration, Chapter 6 — Municipal Officers and Employees by deleting Section 1 -6 -5 -C as depicted on the attached Exhibit "A ". NOW THEREFORE BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE I I UNITED CITY OF YORKVILLE, upon Motion duly made, seconded and approved by a majority of those so voting, that Title 1 -- Administration, Chapter 6 — Municipal Officers and Employees of the City Code of the United City of Yorkville is hereby amended by deleting Section 1 -6 -5 -C as depicted on the attached Exhibit "A ". This Ordinance shall be effective upon its passage. ATTEST: CITY CLERK I EXHIBIT "A' AMENDMENT TO SECTION 1 -6 -5 -C REMOVING CITY ATTORNEY STIPEND Section 1 -6 -5 shall be amended by deleting section C in its' entirety: C. City Attorney: Effective May 1, 1975, the city attorney shall receive an annual salary in the amount of nine thousand five hundred dollars ($9,500.00). A qualification for the office of city attorney shall be that of specializing in municipal law.
