Resolution 2003-39 i STATE OF ILLINOIS ) COUNTY OF KENDALL ) RESOULTI NO. G.)rxO3- 1 AUTHORIZING CHASE OF REAL PROPERTY FOR WATER SYSTEM BOOSTER PUMPING STATION WHEREAS, the Mayor and City Council of the United City of Yorkville have conducted a water study, and have embarked upon a program to construct a water tower and water main line joining with existing City facilities; and WHEREAS,it is necessary to provide consistent pressure throughout said system to have a pumping station located on Cannonball Trail, in the United City of Yorkville, Kendall County, Illinois; and WHEREAS,through en engineering study prepared by Engineering Enterprises, Inc. and with the concurrence of City Staff and the City Engineering Department it has been determined that the best site for the location of said booster pumping station is a parcel of property owned by Cooper Home Furnishings, Inc. in Section 20 of Bristol Township, in the United City of Yorkville,Kendall County, Illinois; and WHEREAS, it is necessary to acquire approximately one-half(1/2) acre of real property for purposes of the use of said booster pumping station and the City has 1 determined that it is equitable and fair to pay fair market value for the purchase of said real property: NOW THEREFORE,the United City of Yorkville upon motion duly made, seconded, and approved by a majority of those voting below does hereby resolve to purchase said real property from Cooper Home Furnishings, Inc. on the following terms and conditions: 1) That approximately one-half(1/2) acre is being purchased from Cooper Home Furnishings, Inc. in Section 20 of Bristol Township, in the United City of Yorkville,Kendall County, Illinois as disclosed in the Plat of Acquisition prepared by Engineering Enterprises, Inc. for the location of a water booster pumping station. 2) That said property owner shall be paid the sum of Seventeen Thousand Five Hundred Dollars and 00/100($17,500.00)plus receive three (3) residential hook-ups for the surrounding site with no City connection fee.
