RESOLUTION NAMING HEARTLAND SUBDIVISION PARK
EMILY L. SLEEZER PARK
WHEREAS, Richard Marker of Richard Marker and Associates has developed a residential
subdivision in the United City of Yorkville known as Heartland; and
WHEREAS,Richard Marker desires to name the park contained in said subdivision the Emily
L. Sleezer Park to honor the memory of Emily L. Sleezer, his great niece; and
WHEREAS,Emily L. Sleezer was the daughter of Scott and Lisa Sleezer,long time residents
of the United City of Yorkville, who support the naming of the park after their dearly departed
daughter; and
WHEREAS, the Park Board of the United City of Yorkville and the City Council have
considered and approved the proposed park name:
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the UNITED CITY OF
YORKVILLE, upon Motion duly made, seconded, and approved by majority of those so voting,
that the Heartland Subdivision Park in the United City of Yorkville shall be hereinafter named the
Emily L. Sleezer Park.
