RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CONSTRUCTION OF THE POLICE
DEPARTMENT LOCKER ROOM
WHEREAS, the Public Safety Committee,the City Council and the Mayor have reviewed a
request from the Chief of Police to proceed with construction of the Police Department Locker
Room; and
WHEREAS, the locker room was planned for in the original construction of the new City
Hall, but at the of the original construction funds were unavailable to finance its construction; and
WHEREAS, the City Police Department will be the general contractor for the construction
and estimates that the cost of the construction for materials and time and material labor in an amount
not to exceed $33,000.00; and
WHEREAS,the funds are now available to finance the construction of the Police Department
Locker Room; and
WHEREAS, the Mayor and City Council deem it to be in the best interest of the City to
commence construction of the Police Department Locker Room;
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE UNITED CITY OF YORKVILLE,upon
motion duly made, seconded, and approved by a majority of those Alderman voting, that the City
Police Department is authorized to begin construction of the Police Department Locker Room and
to expend funds not in excess of$33,000.00 for materials purchase and time and material labor cost
