RESOLUTION 01--3D
RESOLUTION AWARDING BID FOR ADMINISTRATION DEPARTMENT COPIER
AND AUTHORIZING THE PURCHASE OF SAID COPIER
WHEREAS, the City Council, Mayor, and City Staff have determined that a new copier is
necessary to properly and efficiently perform City business and that the existing copiers are not
adequately meeting the needs of the City; and
WHEREAS, the City Star has research the different types of copiers available and have
determined that a Gestetner Copier best suits the needs of the City of Yorkville; and
WHEREAS, the City has taken bids with regard to the Gestetner Copier and has decided to
award the contract to Kopy Kat at 1550 N. Farnsworth Avenue, Aurora, Illinois; and
WHEREAS, the City has determined that Kopy Kat is the lowest responsible bidder with its
bid of$19,800.00; and
WHEREAS, the Mayor and City Council deem it to be in the best interest of the City to
purchase said copier for the Administration Department at a purchase price of$19,800.00 from Kopy
Kat of Aurora;
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE UNITED CITY OF YORKVILLE,upon
motion duly made, seconded, and approved by a majority ofthose Alderman voting,the City hereby
accepts the bid from the lowest responsible bidder,Kopy Kat which is located at 1550 N.Farnsworth
Avenue, Aurora, Illinois, to sell a Gestetner Copier to the City of Yorkville for use in the
Administration Department for a price of$19,800.00 and the City Council further authorizes the

purchase of said copier.
