RESOLUTION NO: 2000-
RESOLUTION APPROVING SALARY RANGE SCHEDULE
WHEREAS,the United City of Yorkville through its City Council and Staff have determined
it to be in the best interest of the City to establish a range of salary for office heads, employees not
covered by Collective Bargaining, and Supervisory and Line Personnel; and
WHEREAS,extensive research and study has been done by the City Council and City Staff
to determine fair ranges of salary for various positions appointed and hired by THE UNITED CITY
OF YORKVILLE:
..� NOW THEREFORE upon motion duly made,seconded,and approvedby amajority ofthose
voting, the Salary Schedule attached hereto and incorporated herein as Exhibit"A" is adopted by
THE UNITED CITY OF YORKVILLE as the range of salary for employees and positions appointed
during this fiscal year of 2000-20001.
SEVERABILITY: The various parts,sections, and clauses of this Ordinance are hereby
declared to be severable. If any part,sentence,paragraph,section,or
clause is adjudged unconstitutional or invalid by a Court of
competent jurisdiction, the remainder of the Ordinance shall not be
affected thereby.
REPEALER: Any Ordinances or parts thereof in conflict with the provisions of this

Ordinance are hereby repealed to the extent of such conflict.
EFFECTIVE DATE: This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect 15 days from and after
its passage and approval by the Mayor and City Council.

The 2000-2001 budget will Include$28,813 over
and above a 3.5% salary increase for each employee to be
distributed by the Mayor and Department Heads based upon Merit
through a unified, standardized and quantifiable evaluation process
for the job categories listed above
The Salary range will be increased each year by the COLA
Annual Longevity Stipends will be made to all employees based
upon the following chart:
After 6 years but less than 9 years $750
After 9 years but less than 14 years $1,000
After 14 years but less than 20 years $1,250
After 20 years but less than 25 years $1,500
After 25 years $2,000
Stipend to be paid in lump sum at employee's anniversary
Annual Educational Stipends will be paid for education in their
related field over that required for entry level of that position as follows:
Associate Degree or 60 Credit hours 2%
Bachelor's Degree 4% Total
Master's Degree 4%
This will be applicable only to 1 degree level beyond that nessessary
for entry level of that position except that all are eligible to eam up to the
Bachelor Degree Level as outlined above tone time salary adjustment)
