RESOLUTION CREATING THE ADDITIONAL POSITION OF PART-TIME POLICE
CLERK& AUTHORIZING THE HIRING OF SAID PART-TIME CLERK
IN THE UNITED CITY OF YORKVILLE
WHEREAS, THE UNITED CITY OF YORKVILLE, through its City Council, Mayor,
Chief of Police and City staff, after careful consideration have found and deemed it necessary for
the benefit of the City of Yorkville and its Police Department to create an additional position of
Part-Time Police Clerk so that the City will have two (2) positions of Part-Time Police Clerk; and
WHEREAS, there is currently one Part-Time Police Clerk working for the Police
Department and the Police Department and the City Council deem it in the best interest of the
community to hire an additional Part-Time Police Clerk; and
WHEREAS, the job position for the additional Part-Time Police Clerk will have the duties
and responsibilities as set forth in the attached job description; and
WHEREAS, the additional position of Part-Time Police Clerk will greatly assist with the
operational efficiency of the Police Department of the United City of Yorkville;
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE UNITED CITY OF YORKVILLE
THAT THE ADDITIONAL POSITION OF PART-TIME POLICE CLERK IS HEREBY
CREATED AND THE HIRING OF SAID PART-TIME POLICE CLERK IS HEREBY
AUTHORIZED .
That said position will be directed by the Police Office Supervisor and shall work directly
under the Police Office Supervisor. The job description for Part-Time Police Clerk is attached
hereto and is made a part hereof as Exhibit "A".
The hiring of persons to fill the position of Part-Time Police Clerk should be subject to all
probationary rules and regulations as set out in the current employee manual.
