RESOLUTION 2000-28
RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING A SANITARY SEWER SYSTEM INVESTIGATION
WHEREAS,the Mayor and the City Council ofthe UNITED CITY OF YORKVILLE deem
it in the best interest of the City and the Yorkville and the Yorkville Bristol Sanitary District to
provide for the orderly maintenance and treatment of effluent in the Yorkville Bristol Sanitary District
sanitary sewer plant; and
WHEREAS, the Mayor and City Council of the UNITED CITY OF YORKVILLE have a
responsibility on behalf of the City to provide maintenance of the City owned sewer system; and
WHEREAS, part of the maintenance of said System requires the detection of inflow and
infiltration of storm water and ground water into that Sanitary Sewer System; and
WHEREAS,the sanitary sewers in the area ofthe City bounded by the Fox River, South Main
Street,Route 126 and the Commonwealth Edison Right of Way is in need of investigation for inflow
and infiltration; and
WHEREAS, it is in the best interest of the City to contract for the performance of a sanitary
sewer system evaluation study;

NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE UNITED
CITY OF YORKVILLE UPON MOTION DULY MADE, SECONDED, AND APPROVED BY
A MAJORITY OF THOSE MEMBERS OF THE CITY COUNCIL VOTING:
1. That the proposal tendered by Walter E. Deuchler Associates, Inc. for a sanitary
sewer system evaluation study for the area bounded by the Fox River, South Main
Street,Route 126 and the Commonwealth Edison Right of Way with Walter Deuchler
& Associates, Inc. for the cost of$28,000.00 is hereby accepted.
2. That the Mayor and City Clerk are hereby authorized to execute said contract on
behalf of the United City of Yorkville.
