Resolution 1999-01 i STATE OF ILLINOIS ) 1/15/99 )ss COUNTY OF KENDALL ) RESOLUTION NO: 1999-�_ RESOLUTION AMENDING CITY ENGINEERING INSPECTION FEES WHEREAS, The Mayor and City Council of the United City of Yorkville having considered the City's expense for review of engineering and land improvements and the provision of certain administrative services associated with private development; and WHEREAS, the United City of Yorkville has conducted a study with regard to its costs for Engineering Review by the City and inspection of public improvements and site improvements which are required pursuant to approved engineering plans; and WHEREAS, the Mayor and City Council consider it to be in the best interests of the community to charge developers a reasonable fee for these costs based upon the actual cost of services rendered by the United City of Yorkville; and WHEREAS, the Unity City of Yorkville previously established the charge therefore at a rate equal to 2.5% of the approved estimate construction cost in Resolution# 1996-31;. NOW THEREFORE, be it resolved by the CITY COUNCIL AND THE MAYOR of the UNITED CITY OF YORKVILLE, upon motion duly made, seconded and approved, that the following Administrative Fees will be assessed for all development in the City, as follows: 1 1. The fees assessed under this Resolution shall be known as Administrative Fees and no longer referred to as Engineering Fees. 2. (A) An Administrative fee will be charged at the rate of 1.75% of the approved Engineering estimate of construction cost of land improvements, including but not limited to all public improvements to be dedicated to the City, mass earth grading, and quasi-public improvements to be maintained by homeowners associations such as private storm sewer, parking areas and trails. This fee shall also be used to cover costs of services provided by the Public Works Department and Administrative Staff. (B) The fee provided under paragraph (A) of this Article hereby amends and cancels the previous fee set out in Article 4 of Resolution 1996-31 of 2.5% of the approved Engineers estimate of construction cost 3. The City reserves the right to charge and collect fees on an hourly basis for complex work or time consuming developments with City Council approval if the time expended on a particular development project exceeds the percentage fees set out above. 4. This fee will be submitted to the City prior to recording of final plat. This fee will be charged for inspection and administration and further review after final plat and plan approval. 5.
