RESOLUTION DEDICATING
THE NAME OF GREENBRIAR PARK
IN MEMORY OF JAMES E. PRICE
WHEREAS, the Mayor and City Council of the United City of Yorkville wish to take an
opportunity to recognize a long-time employee who dedicated his life to the betterment of the United
City of Yorkville; and
WHEREAS,JAMES E.PRICE,was Public Works Director for the United City of Yorkville,
and was instrumental in the formation and growth of the United City of Yorkville when it combined
with the Village of Bristol; and
WHEREAS, the surviving spouse of JAMES E. PRICE, Mary K. Price has devoted many
years to serving on the Yorkville Park Board,the Yorkville Plan Commission, and has freely given
of her time and energies to the community in many volunteer capacities; and
WHEREAS,Michael Price has served as a valuable member of the City staff,continuing the
tradition of his father as an employee of the City; and
WHEREAS,it is the goal of the citizens to provide a lasting memory and recognition of the
years of service given by JAMES E. PRICE to the community:
NOW THEREFORE upon motion duly made, seconded,and unanimously approved by the

City Council,the public park improvements in Greenbriar Subdivision shall be dedicated and named
as JAMES E. PRICE providing a permanent marker commemorating his years of service with the
United City of Yorkville and providing a biography thereof.
