RESOLUTION AWARDING BID AND APPROVING A CONTRACT WITH AURORA
BLACKTOP FOR ROAD REPAIRS ON CENTER PARKWAY
WHEREAS, the City Engineer for THE UNITED CITY OF YORKVILLE has reviewed
the bids for the recommended street repair work on WALTER, OLSEN, MORGAN, & VAN
EMMON STREETS; and
WHEREAS, AURORA BLACKTOP, INC. submitted the lowest bid in the amount of
$107,553.05; and
WHEREAS, this bid is less than the City Engineer for THE UNITED CITY OF
YORKVILLE had estimated.
WHEREAS, the amount of work to be completed was reduced and cost now reflects the
amount of$84,789.05; and
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the Mayor and City Clerk are hereby
authorized to enter into a contract with AURORA BLACKTOP, INC. for said road repair work
at a contract price of$84,789.05
