RESOLUTION APPROVING ACCEPTANCE OF AND
EXECUTION OF COPS MORE 96 AWARDS
NOW COMES the City Council of THE UNITED CITY OF YORKVILLE,by and through
its City Council and Mayor of THE UNITED CITY OF THE VILLAGE OF YORKVILLE; and
WHEREAS,the Yorkville Police Department is the recipient of two COPS MORE 96 Awards from
the United States Department of Justice; and
WHEREAS, each of the attached Awards, authorizes the Grantee, being the City Police
Department of THE UNITED CITY OF YORKVILLE to receive the services,equipment,and Grant
Awards indicted in each of the Awards attached hereto and incorporated herein by reference; and
WHEREAS, the City Council deems it to be in the best interest of the expansion of the Yorkville
Police Department and the protection of the citizens of THE UNITED CITY OF YORKVILLE to
permit the acceptance and execution of said Grant Awards:
NOW THEREFORE UPON MOTION DULY MADE, SECONDED, AND APPROVED
by a majority of those voting,the COPS MORE 96 AWARD GRANTS are hereby accepted by THE
UNITED CITY OF YORKVILLE. It is further Ordered that the Chief of THE UNITED CITY OF
YORKVILLE Police Department shall have authority to execute the acceptance of Grant and Award
Letters and return the same to the United States Department of Justice on behalf of THE UNITED
CITY OF YORKVILLE.
