RESOLUTION - NO. 1996 -
I7ESOLUTiON A PUBLIC WORKS DIRECTOR
FOR THE UNITED CITY OF THE VILLAGE OF YORKV r.LLE
WHEREAS, THE UNITED CITY OF THE VILLAGE OF YORKVILLE, through its City
Council, Mayor, and City staff, after careful consideration have found and deemed it necessary
for the benefit of the community and for efficient operation of the City Public Works Department
to hire a Public Works Director; and
WHEREAS, the current City Public Works Director, J.T. Johnson, has been acting in that
capacity for several years, and has provided efficient and skilled leadership in the position of
Public Works Director; and
WHEREAS, the Public Works Department, in order to operate efficiently and to respond
to the needs of the community and the people of the City of Yorkville, is in need of a Public
Works Director who can provide the skill and ability necessary to effectively operate the Public
Works Department in the City of Yorkville;
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE UNITED CITY OF THE VILLAGE
OF YORKVILLE THAT J.T. JOHNSON, THE CURRENT PUBLIC WORKS DIRECTOR OF
THE CITY OF YORKVILLE, IS HEREBY APPOINTED AS PUBLIC WORKS DIRECTOR
WITH AN ANNUAL SALARY OF $50,000.00 A YEAR.
