RESOLUTION SETTING HOURLY RATES FOR THE PUBLIC WORKS
EMPLOYEES FOR THE UNITED CITY OF THE VILLAGE OF YORKVILLE
WHEREAS, the City of Yorkville has not adopted a pay scale hourly rate for its
maintenance worker in the Public Works Department; and
WHEREAS, it is necessary and beneficial to the Village of Yorkville to memorialize those
pay scales for maintenance workers in the Public Works Department; and
WHEREAS, it is necessary and beneficial for the City and the citizens of the City of
Yorkville to set a standard pay scales and qualifications for pay scale increases;
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE UNITED CITY OF THE VILLAGE
OF YORKVILLE THAT THE PAY SCALES LISTED ON EXHIBIT "A" ATTACHED
HERETO AND INCORPORATED HEREIN ARE HEREBY ADOPTED AS PAY SCALE
HOURLY RATES FOR THE UNITED CITY OF THE VILLAGE OF YORKVILLE. THAT
PAY SCALE JUMPS TO MAINTENANCE WORKER 2 AS SET OUT ON THE ATTACHED
EXHIBIT "A" WILL BE BASED ON RECOMMENDATION BY THE PUBLIC WORKS
DIRECTOR AND CITY ADMINISTRATOR USING RELEVANT FACTORS OF HIGH LEVEL
OF KNOWLEDGE, JOB EXPERIENCE AND PROVEN LEADERSHIP ABILITIES.
The above pay scale shall supplant and replace any previous or finances, resolutions or
pay scales previously in existence for the Public Works department o� ployees.

and will receive a one time increase of $0.99 per hour
Moving from MW1 to MW2 will require a positive
Recommendation from the Public Works Director and the
City Administrator based upon a high level of knowledge,
job experience and proven leadership abilities.
This chart will be automatically updated each year to reflect
annual increases/cost of living increases as adopted by the
City Council.
