RESOLUTION RENAMING CERTAIN STATE ROUTE HIGHWAYS
IN THE UNITED CITY OF YORKVILLE
WHEREAS, The United City of the Village of Yorkville, is desirous of re-naming State
Routes within their jurisdictions; and
WHEREAS, the renaming is to avoid confusion and provide better emergency services
and faster response from said services; and
WHEREAS, the City Council has endeavored to rename said streets promoting local
identity and in recognition of local and historical links of said roadways to our geographic area;
and
WHEREAS, the City of Yorkville through the City Council and Mayor believe it to be
in the best interests of the community to rename such State routes; and
WHEREAS, the City Council is in support of such changes.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the United city of the Village of Yorkville
does hereby rename the following State routes within our City limits, and in any area to be
annexed in the future to the corresponding titles set out below:
• J
A. Route 126 - Schoolhouse Road

B. Route 71 - Stagecoach Trail
C. Route 34 - Veterans Parkway
That these titles shall replace the state route titles for those portions of those routes within
the jurisdictional boundaries of the United City of the Village of Yorkville at present and as
additional portions of said roadways are annexed to the United City of The Village of Yorkville. Q, t-,t�n(
