WHEREAS, this event will require the temporary entrance off of Route 47, it

WIIEREAS, Section 4-40£3 of tile. Illinois Ilighway COde authorizes the
Departnienl of Transportation to issue perlllils to local authorities to temporarily have
access to portions of the State highways for such public purposes.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the UNTTED CITY OF T IE

to create a temporary off access of Route 47 onto real properly at Northeast corner of
Route 34 and 47 from 5.00 PM to —11 :00 PM as above desigltaled, be
requested of the Del?artn)elit of Trausportation.

I3E I`1' FURTlIER RESOLVED that this temporary closure is for the public
P111-pose of allowing MCDONALD'S CORPORA'T'ION to have it "Cruise-NiSlit" and to
permit parking on vacant land at the Northwest corner of Route 47 and Route 3,1, a

temporary access shall be permitted off of Route 47, which will be mainlained to the
satisfaction of the department and whi(�lt is cxortspictlously marked for the benefit of
traffic exiting from the State Highway.
13E IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the MCDONALD'S assumes full
responsibility for the direction, protection, and regulation of the traffic during the
time the event is ill effect.
131"1 IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that police officers or authorized flaggers shall
at the expense of the MCDONALD'S be positio►ied at the entrance of said barking
areas as play be necessary to assist ill directing traffic through the temporary access;
BE I'T FUR'l'IIER RESOLVED, that such signs, flags, barricades, etc., shall be
used by MCDONALD'S as may be approved by the Illinois Department of
Transportation. These items shall be provided by the Sponsor, MCDONALD'S.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the temporary access shall be marked
according to llte Illinois Mantial on Uniform 'Traffic Control devices.
MCDONALD'S hereby agrees to assume all liabilities and pay all claims for
any damage which shall be occasioned by the closing described above.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that MCDONALD'S shall provide
comprehensive general liability insurance policy or all additional insured
endorsement ill the amount of $100,000 per person and $500,000 aggregate which as
the Illinois I)eparlmenl of 'rransporlalion and its officials, employees, and agents as
insureds ail which prolects them from all c:lai►►ns arising from the requested road
closing.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that it copy of this resolution be forwarded to
the Department of 'Transportation to serve! as it formal request for the permission
