RESOLUTION NO. 1995- 9
RESOLUTION PERMITTING PAYMENT OF CITY UTILITY
BILLS BY ELECTRONIC FUNDS TRANSFER
WHEREAS, as a convenience to the citizens of THE UNITED CITY OF THE VILLAGE
OF YORKVILLE, the City is desirous of providing a method for payment of City and related
governmental utility bills by electronic funds transfer deposit; and
WHEREAS, the Yorkville National Bank has agreed to act as an authorized depository
for receipt of those electronic fund transfer payments and deposits; and
WHEREAS, the City Council of THE UNITED CITY OF THE VILLAGE OF
YORKVILLE deems it to be a public benefit to permit citizens to pay City public utility bills,
and any other related governmental utility bill being collected by the City through the use of
electronic fund transfers which shall be deposited to the accounts of THE UNITED CITY OF
THE VILLAGE OF YORKVILLE at Yorkville National Bank; and
WHEREAS, Citizens may make said electronic fund transfers for payment of City and
other related public utility bills collected by the City through any financial institution of their
choice transferable to the City account at Yorkville National Bank;
NOW THEREFORE, UPON MOTION DULY MADE, SECONDED, AND APPROVED
by a majority of those members elected of the City Council, any party owing public utility bills
to THE UNITED CITY OF THE VILLAGE OF YORKVILLE, or related governmental entities
collected by THE UNITED CITY OF THE VILLAGE OF YORKVILLE may be paid by
electronic funds transfers credited against their account at financial institutions of their choice by
payment or deposit to the account of THE UNTIED CITY OF THE VILLAGE OF YORKVILLE
established at the Yorkville National Bank for receipt of utility payments.
