RESOLUTION NO. 1995- c3 C)
WHEREAS, the State of Illinois Department of Commerce and Community Affairs has created a
program called "Competitive Communities Initiative"; and
WHEREAS, the state is seeking partners for 1995; and
WHEREAS, Yorkville is desirous of working with the state for the purpose of encouraging
community development; and
WHEREAS, the City has created a Committee of members from a broad spectrum of the
community for the purpose of working with the state to initiate creating a
community self-assessment and then onto a written action plan,
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the City of Yorkville does support and encourage
the application to the State of Illinois Department of Commerce and Community
Affairs as a partner in the Competitive Communities Initiative and will support the
committee with secretarial, office and oversight support.
