NOW THAT IT BE RESOLVED THAT THE CITY OF YORKVILLE
1. Adopts the attached EQUAL EMPLOYMENT POLICY.
2. Authorizes the City Administrator to implement this policy and enforce its provisions.

EQUAL EMPLOYMENT POLICY
It is the policy of the City of Yorkville to promote nondiscriminatory practices in its
hiring and its contractual undertakings. It is the policy of the City to conform with all aspects
of Federal Civil Rights legislation including the Equal Employment Opportunity Act (42 U.S.C.
§ 2000), and all State Civil Rights Legislation.
No person shall, on the grounds of race, sex, religion, color, national origin, age, or
handicap be excluded from participation in or be subjected to discrimination in any program or
activity funded, in whole or in part, by Federal funds.
The City Administrator shall oversee civil rights compliance.
