Ordinance 1999-24 n STATE OF II,LINOIS ) )ss COUNTY OF KENDALL ) ORDINANCE NO. 1999- AN ORDINANCE PROHIBITING PARKING ON WEST JOHN STREET FROM CANNONBALL TRAIL TO THE COURTHOUSE & JAIL WHEREAS,the Mayor and City Council of the of THE UNITED CITY OF YORKVILLE, upon recommendation and request of the City Police Department and various members of the community, deem it to be in the best interest of community to restrict parking on both sides of West John Street from Cannonball Trail to its terminus between the Kendall County Courthouse and Jail; and WHEREAS, said parking prohibition is for the purpose of safety and protection of persons and their property; and WHEREAS,the City Council has fully considered the best interest of the citizens and the City in passing said Parking Ordinance: NOW THEREFORE, the Mayor and City Council of THE UNITED CITY OF YORKVILLE,upon motion duly made, seconded, and approved, hereby ordains that there shall be established a "No-Parking" zone on West John Street from Cannonball Trail to its terminus between the Kendall County Courthouse and Jail, except for vehicles of emergency personnel during emergencies or other emergency vehicles during an emergency. Violation of this Ordinance shall result in a Fifty Dollar($50.00) fine per occurrence. -1- SEVERABILITY: The various parts, sections, and clauses of this Ordinance are hereby declared to be severable. If any part, sentence, paragraph, section, or clause is adjudged unconstitutional or invalid by a Court of competent jurisdiction, the remainder of the Ordinance shall not be affected thereby. REPEALER: Any Ordinances or parts thereof in conflict with the provisions of this Ordinance are hereby repealed to the extent of such conflict. EFFECTIVE DATE: This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect 15 days from and after its passage and approval by the Mayor and City Council.
