ORDINANCE NO. 99-
ORDINANCE PROHIBITING THE PARKING OF
DETACHED NON-MOTORIZED VEHICLES ON CITY
RIGHT-OF-WAYS AND CITY STREETS
WHEREAS, the Mayor and City Council of THE UNITED CITY OF YORKVILLE,
upon recommendation and request of the City Police Department and various members of the
community, deem it to be in the best interest of the community to restrict parking of detached
non-motorized vehicles on City Right-of-Ways, and City Streets for purposes of allowing City
Public Works and Police to respond to emergency calls,provide street maintenance, and snow
plowing to the Citizens of THE UNITED CITY OF YORKVILLE, and the City Council
deeming it in the best interest of the City for health, safety, and both public works and police
protection to prohibit the parking of detached non-motorized vehicles on City streets and City
right-of-ways does hereby ordained as follows:
NOW THEREFORE, the Mayor and City Counsel of THE UNITED CITY OF
YORKVILLE, upon motion duly made, seconded and approved, hereby Ordains that there shall
a no parking permitted on City right-of-ways or City street, for detached non-motorized vehicles
of any kind, including but not limited to trailers, semi trailers, utility trailers, construction

equipment, and any other detached non-motorized type vehicle. Violation of this Ordinance
shall result in a fine of Fifty Dollars ($50.00)per occurrence.
SEVERABILITY: The various parts, sections, and clauses of this Ordinance are
hereby declared to be severable. If any part, sentence,paragraph,
section, or clause is adjudged unconstitutional or invalid by a
Court of competent jurisdiction, the remainder of the Ordinance
shall not be affected thereby.
REPEALER: Any Ordinances or parts thereof in conflict with the provisions of
this Ordinance are hereby repealed to the extent of such conflict.
EFFECTIVE DATE: This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect 15 days from and
after its passage and approval by the Mayor and City Council.
