Ordinance 1997-10A ORDINANCE NO. / — 0 PERMANENT CLOSURE OF BRISTOL AVENUE TO VEHICULAR TRAFFIC AT THE WALNUT STREET INTERSECTION WHEREAS, to facilitate the free flow ui traffic and ensure safety to the motoring public, the city of Yorkville and the state of Illinois, through its Department of Transportation, are desirous of reconstructing the existing four legged intersection of Illinois Route 47 (Bridge Street) with Walnut Street and Bristol Avenue; converting the said locale to a three legged intersection. WHEREAS, the reconstruction of the said intersection necessitates the elimination of the existing intersection of Bristol Avenue with Walnut Street, with the permanent closure and removal of pavement of the northernmost 12 meters (40') of Bristol Avenue and construction of a cul-de-sac at the northern terminus of Bristol Avenue. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED that the city of Yorkville authorizes the permanent elimination of the intersection of Bristol Avenue and Walnut Street and the required permanent closure of the northernmost 12 meter(40') of Bristol Avenue with portions of road pavement being permanently removed and a cul-de-sac being constructed, Passed and approved by the Yorkville City Council this IdA.day of , 1997.
