Ordinance 1995-17 ORDINANCE NO. 1995- / AN ORDINANCE PROHIBITING PARKING ON THE EAST SIDE OF MILL STREET WHEREAS, the Mayor and City Council of the of THE UNITED CITY OF THE VILLAGE OF YORKVILLE, upon recommendation and request of the City Police Department, various members of the community, in consideration by the City Council, deem it to be in the best interest of and for the orderly flow of traffic on Mill Street, to provide for a "No-Parking" on the East side of Mill Street; and WHEREAS, said parking prohibition is for the purpose of safety and protection of persons and their property during said rime; and WHEREAS, the City Council has fully considered the best interest of the citizens and the City in passing said Parking Resolution: NOW THEREFORE, the Mayor and City Council of THE UNITED CITY OF THE VILLAGE OF YORKV LLE, upon motion duly made, seconded, and approved, hereby requires and enacts a "No-Parking" zone to be established on the East side of Mill Street running Northerly from Route 126 to the intersection of Walter Street. Violation of this Ordinance shall result in a Twenty-Five Dollar ($25.00) fine per occurrence. This Ordinance shall become effective upon the proper signage being installed at the location of the "No-Parking" zone. IN WITNESS WHEREOF, this Ordinance has been enacted this L4day of 1995.
