ORDNANCE NO. 1994
ORDINANCE GRANTING A VARIANCE
FOR THE PLACEMENT OF ADVERTISING SIGNS
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE UNITED CITY OF THE
VILLAGE OF YORKVILLE, KENDALL COUNTY, ILLINOIS, AS FOLLOWS:
WHEREAS, Inland Land Appreciation Fund H has petitioned for a variance to allow the
placement of real estate sale signs on certain property owned by the petitioner, advertising the
sale of property other than that on which the sign is placed; and
WHEREAS, the Mayor and City Council of the UNITED CITY OF THE VILLAGE OF
YORKVILLE deems it to be in the best interest to allow the requested variance.
NOW THEREFORE, the City Coi}ncil and Mayor of the UNITED CITY OF THE
VILLAGE OF YORKVILLE, upon Motion duly made, seconded and approved hereby grant the
requested variance subject to the following restrictions:
1. The Petitioner shall be allowed to place three signs, one each at the following
locations:
a. On the petitioner's property on the south side of Route 34 adjacent to Route
47 east of the present Ace Hardware building;
b. On the petitioner's property on the east side of Route 47 north of Walnut Street.
c. On the Petitioner's property on the west side of Route 47 north of the Silica
Sand building, adjacent to Route 47.
2. The signs shall not be closer than 10 feet from the front lot line.
3. That these signs shall only remain up until the property on which it is placed is sold.
4. That these signs may advertise the sale of property owned by Petitioner other than that

on which the sign is placed.
5. In all other respects the signs shall conform to the Yorkville Zoning Ordinance
applicable to signs and all other applicable ordinances.
This ordinance shall be effective upon passage.
IN WITNESS WHEREOF, this ordinance has been enacted this I q day of
