ORDINANCE NO.
REGULATING PARKING ON ILLINOIS ROUTE 47
(BRIDGE ST. ) IN YORKVILLE, ILLINOIS
WHEREAS, Yorkville, Kendall County, Illinois, mutually agrees with the
State of Illinois, through its Department of Transportation, to the
improvement of Illinois Route 47 (Bridge Street) , from the city' s
south corporate limits and extending northerly to Illinois Route 126,
designated as State Section (109)W&RS-4.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the city council of Yorkville,
Kendall County, Illinois:
That in order to promote the health , safety and welfare of its
citizens, parking will be prohibited on both sides of Illinois Route
47, also known as Bridge Street, beginning at the south corporate
limits of Yorkville and extending northerly to a point +200 feet north
of Illinois Route 126.
The Yorkville City Council will enact further ordinances requiring
parking restrictions at locations immediately adjacent to the said
improvement as may be determined to be necessary by the STATE from
results of traffic capacity studies, when construction on the above
described state section has been completed and it is functional .
BE IT FURTHER ORDAINED that left turn movements be prohibited for
motorists traveling south on Main Street and exiting onto Illinois
Route 47.
All ordinances or parts of the ordinances in conflict herewith are
hereby repealed.
Passed and adopted by the city council of Yorkville, Kendall County ,
Illinois this day ofd. 1990.
