Ordinance 1987-07 AN ORDINANCE AMENDING AN ORDINANCE CREATING A PLAN COMMISSION FOR THE UNITED CITY OF THE VILLAGE OF YORKVILLE, KENDALL COUNTY, ILLINOIS PASSED AND APPROVED JUNE 12, 1962 AND AMENDING AN ORDINANCE PASSED MAY 15, 1975 INCREASING THE MEMBERSHIP OF THE PLAN COMMISSION BE IT ORDAINED BY THE MAYOR AND THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE UNITED CITY OF THE VILLAGE OF YORKVILLE, KENDALL COUNTY, ILLINOIS as follows: Section I. That Section I of AN ORDINANCE INCREASING THE MEMBERSHIP OF THE PLAN COMMISSION FOR THE UNITED CITY OF THE VILLAGE OF YORKVILLE, KENDALL COUNTY, ILLINOIS, passed and approved by the City Council on the 15th day of May 1981, be amended by deleting the language of Section I of said Ordinance and by substituting in lieu and in place thereof, the following : "Section I. Said Plan Commission shall consist of Fifteen (15) members to include the following additional members, namely: one representative from the Bristol-Yorkville Sanitary District, one representative from the Yorkville School District, one representative from the Bristol-Kendall Fire Protection District and Emergency Medical Service as appointed by the Mayor; and the previous members as follows: the Mayor, the Chairman of the Zoning Board of Appeals and one member of the City Council of the United City of the Village of Yorkville, Kendall County, Illinois. The remaining members shall be appointed by the Mayor subject to confirmation by the City Council. Of the members so appointed six (6) shall be citizens of the United City of the Village of Yorkville and three (3) shall be citizens of the Township of Kendall or the Township of Bristol residing outside of the City Limits of the United City of the Village of Yorkville, and not more that one and one-half miles beyond the Corporate Limits and not included within any other municipality." Section 2. That each member of the Plan Comission with the exceptions of the ex-officio members shall be entitled to one vote on all matters brought before the Commission upon which a vote is required. The presence of any five (5) voting members of the Commission at any meeting shall constitute a quorum. Section 3. That all other provisions of the previous Ordinances shall remain in full force and effect. Section 4. That this Ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage and approval according to law. PASSED this day of June, 1987.
