Ordinance 1985-03 ORDINANCE NO. 1985- AN ORDINANCE ESTABLISHING A ONE-WAY STREET ON WEST VAN 0,WN STREET BE IT ORDAINED, BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF TIIF UNITED CITY OF TI- ' VILLAGE OF YORKVILLF., KENDALL COUNTY, ILLINOIS: WHEREAS, the Mayor and the City Council of the United City of the Village of Yorkville, upon the recommendation of the City Streets and Alleys Committee, deem it to be in the best interest of the traffic and pedestrian safety in the City of Yorkville, and in view of having exa- mined the width and traffic flow of West Van Emmon Street, between Morgan Street on the West and State Street on the East; NOW THEREFORE, the City Council and the Mayor of the United City of the Village of Yorkville, upon motion duly made, seconded, and approved hereby authorize the creation of a one-way street going Eastbound on Van Emmon Street between Morgan Street on the West and State Street on the East; and further authorize the Director of Public Works and his employees to install one-way traffic signs on said street. In the event any person violates the terms of this Ordinance, he shall be subject to a fine of Fifty Dollars and no/100 ($50.00) ; or the then current amount assessed for traffic fines in such case made and provided under Illinois Revised Statutes.
