Ordinance 1984-08 fORDINANCE NO. 1984- 9 4 AN ORDIAKE AMENDING AN ORDIANCE OF THE UNITED CITY OF THE VILLAGE OF YORKVILLE CREATING A SPECIAL PERMIT FOR HANDICAPPED PARKING AND GOVERNING ISSUANCE THERE- OF DESIGNATED AS ORDINANCE NO. 1981-3 BE IT ORDAINED, BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE UNITED CITY OF THE VILLAGE OF YORKVILLE, KENDALL COUNTY, ILLINOIS: WHEREAS, the United City of the Village of Yorkville has become aware of an amendment to Chapter 95 1/2 of Ill. Rev. Stat. (1983) , by reason of public act 83-1058, affecting the issuance and use of handicapped parking stickers; and WHEREAS, the United City of the Village of Yorkville deems it necessary to bring their ordinance in compliance with said public act; NOW THEREFORE, the City Council and the Mayor of the United City of the Village of Yorkville, upon motion duly made, seconded, and approved hereby amend Sect. 3 of an ordinance of the United City of the Village of Yorkville creating a special permit for handicapped parking and governing issuance thereof as ordinance no. 1981-3 as follows: SECTION 3. All parking permits for handicapped parking shall be issued in the form of an orange card which will be issued by the Illinois Secretary of State for a two year period to applicants who qualify as having a permanent disability pursuant to state statutes. A bright green card will be issued for a one year period to applicants who have a disability that is temporary in nature but has a duration of at least twelve months. The cards will be issued on a fiscal year basis, with the amendment to this ordinance becoming effective July 1, 1984. C IN WITNESS WHEREOF, this Ordinance has been enacted this day of August, 1984.
