ORDINANCE NO.
AN ORDINANCE AMENDING AN ORDINANCE CONCERNING
ALCOHOLIC LIQUORS, AS PASSED APRIL 21, 1960
AND AMENDED FROM TIME TO TIME
WHEREAS, public good and convenience require
the regulation and licensing for the sale at retail of
alcoholic liquors in the UNITED CITY OF THE VILLAGE OF
YORKVILLE, Kendall County, Illinois; and
WHEREAS, public good and convenience require
that the application for Liquor Licenses be in a manner
and form disclosing fully all facts relevant to the issuance
of a Liquor License by the local Liquor Commissioner
and require the necessity of supervision and control of
the licensing of retail liquor establishments within the
corporate limits of the CITY.
NOW THEREFORE, An Ordinance Concerning Alcoholic
Liquors, as Passed and Approved on April 21, 1960 , is hereby
amended as follows:
BE IT ORDAINED by the City Council of the UNITED
CITY OF THE VILLAGE OF YORKVILLE, Kendall County, Illinois
as follows :
That Section 11 of said Ordinance be hereby
amended hereby to read as follows:
"Applications for licenses shall be made to the
local Liquor Commissioner in writing, in the form and

style attached hereto and made a part hereof, as the same
may from time to time be amended by the local Liquor
Commissioner. Said application shall be duly signed by
the applicant and in case of a club, verified by oath
or affidavit, accompanied by a list of members as required
by the State Liquor Control Act, and shall set forth
in full all facts necessary to show that the applicant
is entitled to a license under the laws of the State of
Illinois and this Ordinance, including a description
of the premises to be used by licensee under the license,
and shall be accompanied by the proper license fee, which
fee shall be returned if the license is denied. "
This Ordinance shall repeal all other Ordinances
of the UNITED CITY OF THE VILLAGE OF YORKVILLE heretofore
passed and adopted that conflict herewith, and in all
other respects , said Ordinances shall remain in full force
and effect, including all provisions of the April 21, 1960
Ordinance Concerning Alcoholic Liquors, as Amended, except
as hereby amended.
This Ordinance shall take effect and be in
full force and effect from and after its passage and
publication as provided by law.

and owner of the building in which the alcoholic
liquor will be sold for the duration of the license.

further consents, upon request, to furnish such proof
of financial responsibility as may be requested by
the Liquor Commissioner as part of this Application. )

and of sterilizing glasses and dishes.
7. Will you familiarize yourself with all laws of the
United States, State of Illinois and Ordinances of
the UNITED CITY OF THE VILLAGE OF YORKVILLE pertaining
to the sale of alcoholic liquor and abide by all of
them?

yourself with all laws of the United States, State
of Illinois and local Ordinances pertaining to service
of food and abide by all of them?
9 . Will you maintain the entire premises in a clean and
sanitary manner, free from conditions which might
cause accidents?
10. Will you attempt to prevent rowdiness, fights and
disorderly conduct of any kind and immediately notify
the police department if any such events take place?
11 . Have you, or, in the case of a corporation, has
any shareholder owning more than 5% of the outstanding
stock, or any officer or the local manager, or, in
the case of a partnership, has any partner ever been
convicted of any violation of any law pertaining to
alcoholic liquor? If so, give all details :
