ORDINANCE NO.
AN ORDINANCE OF THE UNITED CITY OF THE VILLAGE
OF YORKVILLE, KENDALL COUNTY, ILLINOIS PROHIBITING
PARKING ON CERTAIN PORTIONS OF HYDRAULIC AVENUE
WHEREAS, the Mayor and City Council of the UNITED
CITY OF THE VILLAGE OF YORKVILLE have investigated the
advisability of prohibiting parking on portions of Hydraulic
Avenue in the UNITED CITY OF THE VILLAGE OF YORKVILLE; and
WHEREAS, it has been d^termined by the Mayor
and City Council of the UNITED CITY OF THE VILLAGE OF YORKVILLE
that public convenience and necessity would be facilitated
by prohibiting parking on the following described premises:
Hydraulic Avenue easterly from the 13.1 East Hydraulic Avenue
terminus, and the following described property:
A part of Lot 3 in Block 5, according to the map of Black's Addition
to the Village of Yorkville, Kendall County, Illinois, bounded as
follows: beginning at a point in the North line of Hydraulic Avenue,
said point being one hundred eighty-seven (187' ) feet easterly of
the Southwest corner of said lot 3; thence South 851 East along the
North line of Hydraulic Avenue a distance of four hundred seventy-
four (474' ) feet to a point; thence Southerly along the East line
of Mill Street, extended, two and one-half (2 1/2' ) feet to a point;
thence easterly and a right angle to the last described line, a distance
of two hundred sixty-five (2651 ) feet to a point; thence North 6°
East, a distance of ninety-five (951 ) feet to a point on the South
bank of the Fox River; thence westerly along said South bank to a point
one hundred eighty-seven (1871 ) feet easterly of the West line of said
Lot 3; thence southerly and parallel to the West line of Lot 3, a
distance of eighty-eight (881 ) feet to the pcint of beginning; Excepting
therefrom a parcel of land described as follows: A part of Lot 3 in
Block 5, according to the map of Black's Addition to the Village of
Yorkville, Kendall County, Illinois, bounded as follows: beginning
at a point in the North line of Hydraulic Avenue, said point being
one hundred eighty-seven (1871 ) feet easterly of the Southwest corner
said South bank to a point one hundred eighty-seven (187' ) feet easterly
of the West line of said Lot 3; thence southerly and parallel to the
West line of Lot 3, a distance of one hundred ten (1101 ) feet more
or less to the point of beginning.
A parcel of land located in Section 33, Township 37 North, Range 7
East of the Third Principal Meridian, Kendall County, Illinois, being
more particularly described as follows: beginning at a point, said
point being twenty-nine (29' ) feet easterly of, and South 60 West,
three hundred twenty-three (3231 ) feet from the Northeast corner of
Block 22 in the Town of Bristol; thence easterly along a line parallel
with the Fox River, a distance of four hundred ninety-five (495' )
feet to a point, thence southerly at right angles to the last described
line, a distance of two hundred sixty-four (2641 ) feet to the North
bank of the Fox River; thence westerly along said North bank, a distance
of four hundred ninety-five (495' ) feet to a point on said North bank;
thence northerly at right angles to the last described line, a distance
of two hundred sixty-four (264' ) feet to the point of beginning.
A part of Lot 3 in Block 5 according to the map of Black's Addition
to the Village of Yorkville, Kendall County, Illinois bounded as follows:
Beginning at a point in the North line of Hydraulic Avenue, said point
being 187 feet Easterly of the Southwest corner of said Lot 3; thence
South 85° East along the North line of Hydraulic Avenue a distance
of 250 feet to a point; thence North 60 East a distance of 110 feet
more or less to a point on the South bank of the Fox River; thence
Westerly along said South bank to a point 187 feet Easterly of the
West line of said Lot 3; thence Southerly and parallel to the West line
of Lot 3 a distance of 110 feet more or less to the point of beginning,
EXCEPTING THEREFROM a parcel of land described as follows: Beginning
at a point on the North line of Hydraulic Avenue, said point being
187 feet Easterly of the Southwest corner of said Lot 3; thence Easterly
along the North line of Hydraulic Avenue a distance of 110 feet to a
point; thence Northerly at right angles to the last described line
a distance of 50 feet to a point; thence Westerly at right angles
to the last described line a distance of 110 feet to a point; thence
Southerly at right angles to the last described line a distance of
50 feet to the point of beginning.
commonly known as the Bicentennial Park and Recreation Area,
excepting the parking area therein designated by the Director
of Public Works by an appropriate sign as being the parking
lot for the general public.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the Mayor and

SECTION 1:
That it shall be unlawful to park any motor vehicle
on the following described premises:
Hydraulic Avenue easterly from the 131 East Hydraulic Avenue
terminus , and the following described property:
A part of Lot 3 in Block 5, according to the map of Black's Addition
to the Village of Yorkville, Kendall County, Illinois, bounded as
follows: beginning at a point in the North line of Hydraulic Avenue,
said point being one hundred eighty-seven (1871 ) feet easterly of
the Southwest corner of said lot 3; thence South 85° East along the
North line of Hydraulic Avenue a distance of four hundred seventy-
four (474' ) feet to a point; thence Southerly along the East line
of Mill Street, extended, two and one-half (2 1/2' ) feet to a point;
thence easterly and a right angle to the last described line, a distance
of two hundred sixty-five (2651 ) feet to a point; thence North 6°
East, a distance of ninety-five (95' ) feet to a point on the South bank
of the Fox River; thence westerly along said South bank to a point
one hundred eighty-seven (187' ) feet easterly of the West line of said
Lot 3; thence southerly and parallel to the West line of Lot 3, a
distance of eighty-eight (881 ) feet to the point of beginning; Excepting

of the West line of said Lot 3; thence southerly and parallel to the

line of Lot 3 a distance of 110 feet mare or less to the point of beginning,
EXCEPTING THEREFROM a parcel of land described as follows: Beginning
at a point on the North line of Hydraulic Avenue, said point being
187 feet Easterly of the Southwest corner of said Lot 3; thence Easterly
along the North line of Hydraulic Avenue a distance of 110 feet to a
point; thence Northerly at right angles to the last described line a
distance of 50 feet to a point; thence Westerly at right angles to the
lastdescribed line a distance of 110 feet to a point; thence Southerly
at right angles to the last described line a distance of 50 feet to the
point of beginning.

SECTION 2 :
That the Corporate authorities, and particularly
the Director of Public Works, of the UNITED CITY OF THE
VILLA CE OF YORKVILLE are hereby authorized and required
to place and maintain, or cause to be placed and maintained,
at or near the curb line of the property on which parking
is prohibited, "No Parking" signs, said signs to be located
in such positions and to be provided with letters of a size
to be clearly legible in conformance with the State Manual
specifications for such signs.
Yorkville is hereby directed to enforce the provisions
of this Ordinance, and any person violating any of the
provisions of this Ordinance shall be fined not less than
$1. 00 nor more than $25 . 00 for each offense.
SECTION 4 :
That this Ordinance shall be in full force and
effect from and after its passage and publication, as required
by law.
SECTION 5:
That the affected provisions of Ordinances passed
heretofore and not in conflict with the provisions of this
Ordinance are hereby expressly ratified, and all provisions
inconsistent herewith are expressly repealed.
