Ordinance 1972-17 AN ORDINANCE FOR THE SALE
OF REAL ESTATE
BE IT HEREBY ORDAINED by the Mayor and City Council of the United City of the
Village of Yorkville, Kendall County, Illinois, as follows:
1. That it is in the best interests of the United City of the Village of Yorkville
that certain real estate presently owned by the United City of the Village of Yorkville
be sold, said real estate being described as follows:
That part of Lot 5 in Block 29 of the Village of Yorkville, Described as
follows, Commencing at the Northeast corner of said Lot 5; thence Southerly
along the Easterly line of said Lot, 50 feet for the point of beginning;
thence Southerly along said Easterly line 25 feet to a point 25 feet Northerly
of the Southeasterly corner of said Lot 5; thence Westerly parallel with the
Southerly line of said Lot, 40 feet to the Easterly line of Bridge Street;
thence Northerly along said Easterly line 25 feet to a line drawn Westerly
parallel with the Northerly line of said Lot 5, from the point of beginning;
thence Easterly along said parallel line 40 feet to the point of beginning;
in the Village of Yorkville, Kendall County, Illinois, and ALSO
That part of Block Fifteen (15) of Black's Addition to the Village of Yorkville,
described as follows: Commencing at the Northwest corner of said Block Fifteen
(15); thence Southerly along the Westerly line of said Block, 51 feet 7 inches
for the point of beginning; thence Southerly along the Westerly line of said
Block, 23 feet 5 inches; thence Easterly parallel with the Southerly line of
Van Emmon Stree' 5 feet; thence Northerly parallel with the center line of
Bridge Street, 23 feet 2-5/8 inches; thence Westerly to the point of beginning,
in the Village of Yorkville, Kendall County, Illinois.
2. That the Clerk of the Mlluted City of the Village of Yorkville, James Brant, is
hereb;; directed to cause notice of the aforesaid sale to be made pursuant to the provisions
of the Illinois Revised Statutes, which said Notice shall be as follows:
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Mayor and City Council of the U ited iCity of the
Village of Yorkville enacted an ordinance on the '.i'day of ,1971,
directing the sale of certain real estate situated in the City of Yorkville,
Kendall County, Illinois, and more particularly described as follows, to-wit:

That part of Block Fifteen (15) of Black's Addition to the Village of Yorkville,
described as follows: Commencing at the Northwest corner of said Block Fifteen
(15) ; thence Southerly along the Westerly line of said Block, 51 feet 7 inches
for the point of beginning; thence Southerly along the Westerly line of said
Block, 23 feet 5 inches; thence Easterly parallel with the Southerly line
of Van Emmon Street, 5feet; thence Northerly parallel with the center line of
Bridge Street, 23 feet 2-5/8 inches; thence Westerly to the point of beginning,
in the Village of Yorkville, Kendall County, Illinois.
The above-described premises is presently occupied by a building used for the library.
The Mayor and City Council of the United City of thelVillage of Yorkville will enter-
tain sealed bids for the purchase of the above-described premises at their regular
meeting to be held on ;,�A�.�. j i Z , at the usual meeting place, to-wit:
the City Hall, at the hour o i P.M., at which time all sealed bids received
shall be opened and considered. The Mayor and City Council may accept high bid

or any bid deemed to be in the best interest of the United City of the Village
of Yorkville by a vote of three-quarters (3/4) of the Council; but by a majority
vote they may reject any and all bids.
Advertisement is hereby made for the submission of sealed bids as aforesaid
relating to the purchase of the aforedescribed real estate and building, all
of which bids should be submitted to the Clerk of the United City of the Village
of Yorkville, James Brant, on or prior toi„�, .'! , 19 "7Q. , at
the hour of J-,ZAC P.M.
3. That the Mayor and City Council may accept the high bid or any bid deemed to
be in the best interest of the City by a vote of three-quarters (3/4) of the Council,
but by a majority vote they may reject any and all bids.
