Ordinance 1972-28 AN ORDINANCE PERTAINING TO PARKING ' IN THE UNITED CITY OF THE VILLAGE OF YORKVILLE, KENDALL COUNTY, ILLINOIS WHEREAS, the City Council of the United City of the Village of Yorkville, Kendall County, Illinois, has determined that a hazardous traffic condition exists in and upon certain streets and roadways in the City of Yorkville; and WHEREAS, the City Council has investigated and inquired into the advisability of drawing an Ordinance to ameliorate said condition and has determined that the public interest will be served by such Ordinance, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE UNITED CITY OF THE VILLAGE OF YORKVILLE, KENDALL COUNTY, ILLINOIS AS FOLLOWS: Section 1: It shall be unlawful for any motor vehicle to park on the east side of Bridge Street it^oi - the south line of Van Emmon Street to a--distance 75 feet south of the corner of Van Emmon Street and Bridge Street. Section 2: It shall be unlawful to park any motor vehicle on either side of River Street westerly of Bridge Street to the City limits. Section 3: That it shall be unlawful to park any motor vehicle on either side of Bridge Street for a distance of 100 feet north of the north entrance to 100 feet south of the south entrance of the business known as Tastee Freez on Bridge Street (Illinois Route 47) in the City of Yorkville. Section 4: That the provisions of this Ordinance shall become effective from and after its passage and publication as provided by law. Section 5: That all Ordinances in conflict herewith are expressly repealed; however, this Ordinance shall not affect or modify any other ordinances of the United City of the Village of Yorkville, Illinois except as the dame directly conflict herewith. Section 6: any person, firm or corporation violating any provision of this Ordinance shall be fined not less than One Dollar ($1.00) nor more than One Hundred Dollars ($100.00) for each offense. :ASSED this day of /l�L�c� >,g¢ti , A.D., 1972.
