Ordinance 1971-08 AN ORDINANCE PERTAINING TO PARKING
IN THE UNITED CITY OF THE VILLAGE OF
YORKVILLE, KENDALL COUNTY, ILLINOIS
WHEREAS public good and convenience require that permissible hours be designated for the
parking of motor vehicles on certain streets in the city of Yorkville,
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL of the United City of the Village of Yorkville,
Kendall County, Illinois:
Section 1 : That Van Emmon Street, between the East line of an alley running between
Van Emmon Street Northerly to Hydraulic Avenue, and Midway between Bridge and Heustis Streets,
shall be designated for two (2) hour parking; and no vehicle shall be parked upon the aforesaid
portion of Van Emmon Street for more than two consecutive hours, between the hours of 6:00 a.m.
and 8:00 p.m. daily, including Sundays and holidays.
Section 2: That a city parking lot contiguous to Van Emmon Street on the South and an
alley running Northerly between Van Emmon Street and Hydraulic Avenue, said city parking lot
Commencing in the Southwest corner of Lot 6 in Block 1
being more fully described as follows: of Black's Addition to the Village of Yorkville; running
thence Northerly along the East line of an alley, 87 feet; thence Easterly along the North
line of said Lot 6 57 feet; thence Southerly 87 feet, more or less, to the North line of
Van Emmon Street; thence Westerly along said Van Emmon Street, 57 feet to the point of

Section 3: That the provisions of this ordinance shall become effective at 1:00 a.m.,
u ;.. I- , 1971, at which time all ordinances in conflict herewith are expressly
repealed. However, this ordinance shall not affect or modify any other ordinances of the United
City of the Village of Yorkville, Illinois, except as the same directly conflict herewith.
Section 4: Any person, firm or corporation violating any provision of this ordinance shall
be fined not less than One Dollar ($1 .00) nor more than One Hundred Dollars ($100.00) for each
offense.
