Ordinance 1970-01 AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE ZONING ORDINANCE
OF THE UNITED CITY OF THE VILLAGE OF YORKVILLE/
KENDALL COUNTY, ILLINOIS, AS AMENDED
WHEREAS, WalterS. Olsen and BLANCHE E. OLSEN , owners of record of the property
hereinafter described, have petitioned the Mayor and City Council of the United City of the
Village of Yorkville, Kendall County, Illinois, to rezone and reclassify the said property from
B-2, Business District Uses, and R-1, Residential District Uses, to Apartment District Uses, and,
WHEREAS, after due notice by publication as required by law, the Zondng Board of Appeals
has held a hearing upon the said petition and has reported and recommended to the Mayor and
City Council that such rezoning and reclassification be approved; and
WHEREAS, upon investigation by the United City of the Village of Yorkville, it has been
ascertained that said petition in all respects conforms to the requirements of the Illinois Municipal
Code and the Zoning Ordinance of said City:
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the City Council of the United City of the Village
of Yorkville, Kendall County , Illinois:
Section 1 - That the Zoning Ordinance of the United City of the Village of Yor[ ville,
approved October 28, 1940, as amended by any and all other or further amendments enacted
prior hereto, be, and the same is hereby further amended as follows:
The following described real estate in the United City of the Village of Yorkville,
heretofore zoned B-2, Business District Uses, and R-1 , Residential District Uses, under
theZ:oning Ordinance , is hereby rezoned and reclassified as Apartment District Uses:
That part of Sections 32, 33, 4 and 5, Township 36 North, Range 7
East of the Third Principal Meridian described as follows: Commencing
at the Southeast corner of Lot 1 of Hughes Subdivision of Lot 1 of
Owner's plat of part of the Southeast quarter of Section 32; thence East
along the South line of said Lot 1 extended 107 feet to the Easterly lire
of State Route 147; thence Northeasterly along the said Easterly line, being
on a curve to the right 102.4 feet; thence South 890 East, 519.5 feet for a
point of beginning; thence South 890 East, 312.7 feet to the Westerly line
of State Route X126; thence Southeasterly on said Westerly line of State o
Route #126, 448 feet; thence North 89 West, 688.8 feet; thence North 1
East, 244.8 feet to the point of beginning, partly in the City of Yorkville,
North of the South line of Sections 32 and 33, and partly in Kendall
Township, South of the South line of Sections 32 and 33, Kendall County,
Illinois, containing 2.81 acres.
Section 2 - That the Zoning Map of the United City of the Village of Yorkville, be,
and the same is hereby amended to show the said real estate zoned as "Apartment District
Uses" .

Section 3 - That all Ordinances or portions of Ordinances in conflict herewith
be, and they are hereby repealed insofar as such conflicts exist.
Section 4 - That this Ordinance shall be in full force and effect upon and after
its passage and publication as required by law.
PASSED by the City Council of the United City of the Village of Yorkville, Kendall
