Ordinance 1970-02 AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THEZONING
ORDINANCE OF THE UNITED CITY OF THE
VILLAGE OF YORrVILLE, KENDALL COUNTY,
ILLINOIS, AS AMENDED
WHEREAS, WALTER S. OLSEN and BLANCHE E. OLSEN, owners of record of the
property hereinafter described, have petitioned the Mayor and City Council of the United
City of the Village of Yorkville, Kendall County, Illinois, to rezone and reclassify the said
property from B-2, Business District Uses, and R-1 , Residential District Uses, to B-3,
Business District-Wholesale and Miscellaneous- Uses, and,
WHEREAS, after due notice by publication as required by law, the Zoning Board of
Appeals has held a hearing upon the said petition and has reported and recommended to the
Mayor and City Council that such rezoning and reclassification be approved; and,
WHEREAS, upon investigation by the United City of the Village of Yorkville, it has
been ascertained that said petition in all respects conforms to the requirements of the Illinois
Municipal Code and the Zoning Ordinance of said City:
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the City Council of the United City of the
Village of Yorkville, Kendall County, Illinois:
Section 1 - That the Zoning Ordinance of the United City of the Village of Yorkville,
approved October 28, 1940, as amended by any and all other or further amendments enacted
prior hereto, be, and the same is hereby further amended as follows:
The following described real estate in the United City of the Village of Yorkville
heretofore zoned B-2, Business District Uses, and R-1 , Residential District Uses,
under the Zoning Ordinance, is hereby rezoned and reclassified as B-3, Business
District - Wholesale and Miscellaneous - Uses:
That part of Sections 32 and 5, Township 36 North, Range 7 East
of the Third Principal Meridian, described as follows: Commencing
at the Southeast corner of Lot 1 of Hughes Subdivision of Lot 1 of
Owner's Plat of part of the Southeast quarter of Section 32; thence East along
the South line of said Lot 1 extended 107 feet to the Easterly line of State
Route f47 for a point of beginning; thence Northerly along said East line on
a curve to the right 102.4 feet; thence South 890 East, 519.5 feet; thence
South 10 West, 244.8 feet; thence North 890 West, 548.1 feet to the Easterly
line of State Route IY47; thence Northeasterly along said Easterly line 147.6
feet to the point of beginning, partly in the City of Yorkville, North of the
South line of Section 32, and partly in Kendall Township, South of the
South line of Section 32, containing 3 acres, all in Kendall County, Illinois.
Section 2 - That the Zoning Map of the United City of the Village of Yorkville, be,
and the same is hereby amended to show the said real estate zoned to "B-3, Business
District Uses - Wholesale and Miscellaneous - Uses'

Section 3 - That all Ordinances or portions of Ordinances in conflict herewith be,
and they are hereby repealed insofar as such conflicts exist.
Section 4 - That this Ordinance shall be in full force and effect upon and after its
passage and publication as required by law.
PASSED by the City Council of the United City of the Village of Yorkville, Kendall
