Ordinance 1969-50 TAX LEVY ORDINANCE
WHEREAS, the City Council of the United City of the Village of Yorkville,
Kendall County, Illinois, heretofore did, in the first quarter of it's fiscal year, pass the
Annual Appropriation Ordinance for said City for the fiscal year beginning May 1, 1969
and ending April 30, 1970, the amoun` of which was ascertained to be in the aggregate
sum of Two Hundred Twelve Thousand Two Hundred Twelve Dollars and Fifty Cents
($212,212.50) , and
WHEREAS the Appropriation Ordinance was duly signed and approved and published
as required by law, in the Kendall County Record, a newspaper printed and published in
said City, and
WHEREAS, more than ten (10) days have elapsed since the publication of said
Appropriation Ordinance and the same is now in full force and effect,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the City Council of the United City of
the Village of Yorkville, Kendall County, Illinois:
Section 1 - That, there be, and is hereby levied on all taxable property within
the corporate limits of said United City of the Village of Yorkville, subject to taxation
for the year 1969, the total sum of Ninety Seven Thousand Two Hundred Thirty Seven
Dollars and Fifty Cents ($97,237.50) for the following specific purposes mentioned in
said Appropriation Ordinance in the respective sums as follows, to-wit:

Section 2 - The foregoing item of $6,000.00 levied for garbage disposal is
levied in excess of the statutory rate by reason of compliance with the Statute of the
State of Illinois relative to an excess tax in relation to garbage disposal .
Section 3 - The Clerk of said United City of the Village of Yorkville is hereby
directed to file with the County Clerk of said County, a duly certified copy of this
Ordinance.
Section 4 - This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after it's
passage and approval according to law.
