Ordinance 1967-25 AN ORDINANCE PERTAINING TO POLICE DOr S BE IT ORDAINED by the City Council of the United City of the Village of Yorkville, Kendall County, Illinois : Section 1 - It shall be unlawful for any person to wilfully or maliciously torture, torment, beat, kick, strike, mutilate, injure, disable or kill any police dog, used by the police department of the united City of the Village of Yorkville, in the performance of the functions of such department, or to interfere with or meddle with such dog, while being used by the said department or any officer or member thereof in the perform- ance of any officer or member of any functions or duties of said department or of such member or officer. Section 2 - Any person violating; any provision of this ordinance shall be fined not less than X10.00 nor more than $500.00 dollars for each offense, and a separate offense shall be deemed committed on each day during or on which a violation occurs or continues. Section 3 - This ordinance shall be in full force and effect ten days after passage, and approval and publication as provided by law.
