Ordinance 1967-26 ORDINANCE OF THE UNITED CITY OF THE VILLAGE
OF YORKVILLE, KENDALL COUNTY, ILLINOIS,
DESIGNATING WARDS AND POLLING PLACES FOR
MUNICIPAL ELECTIONS
BE IT ORDAINED, by the City Council of the United City of
the Village of Yorkville, Kendall County, Illinois:
Section l.. That the United City of the Village of Yorkville
shall be divided into three (3) wards as follows:
Ward No. 1. Shall constitute all that part of the United
City of which lies south of a line described as follows:
Commencing at the West boundary of the United City at the
point of intersection of the center line of the highway known
as Fox Road in the Borough of Yorkville, thence Northeasterly
along the center line of said Fox Road to the intersection of
the center line of Franklin Street in said Borough, thence
Easterly along the center line of Franklin Street to a point
fifty-three (53) feet westerly of the intersection of the
west line of Bridge Street with the center line of Franklin
Street, the same being the Easterly line of Lot 7 of Block
14 of the original Village of Yorkville, thence northerly
along the easterly line of Lot 7 of Block 14 of the original
Village of Yorkville extended Southerly and the Easterly
line of Lot 7 of Block 14 of the original Village to a point
thirty-three ( 33) feet northerly of the Southeast corner of
Lot 7 of Block 14 of the original Village of Yorkville, thence
Westerly parallel with the North line of Franklin Street to
the West line of Bridge Street, thence Southerly along the
Westerly line of Bridge Street to the point of intersection
of said Westerly line with the center line of Franklin Street,
thence Easterly along the center line of Franklin Street and
such center line extended Easterly in a straight line to the
East boundary of the United City.
Ward. No, 2. Shall consist of all that part of the United
City which lies North of a line described as follows: Commence•
ing at the West boundary of the United City at the point of
intersection of the center line of the highway known as Fox
Road in the Borough of Yorkville, thence northeasterly along
the center line of said Fox Road to the intersection of the
center line of Franklin Street in said Bcr ought thence Easterly
along the center line of Franklin Street to a point fifty-
three (53) feet Westerly of the intersection of the West line
of Bridge Street with the center line of Franklin Street, the
same being the Easterly line of Lot 7 of Block 14 of the orig-
inal Village of Yorkville, thence Northerly along the Easterly
line of Lot 7 of Block 14 of the original Village of Yorkville
extended Southerly and the Easterly line of Lot 7 of Block
3-4 of the original Village to a point thirty-three (33) feet
Northerly of the Southeast corner of Lot 7 of Block 14 of
the original Village of Yorkville, thence Westerly parallel
with the North line of Franklin Street to the West line of
Bridge Street, thence Southerly along the westerly line of
Bridge Street to the point of intersection of said Westerly
line with the center line of Franklin Street, thence Easterly
along the center line of Franklin Street and such center line
extended Easterly in a straight line to the East boundary
of the United City; and South of a line which is the center
line of Main Street in the Borough of Bristol and such center
line extended in a straight line to the East and West bound-
aries of said United City.

Ward No, 3. Shall constitute all that part of the United
City which lies north of a line which is the center line of
Main Street in the Borough of Bristol and such center line
extended in a straight line to the East and West boundaries
of said United City.
Section 2. That each of the wards above described shall
constitute one voting district or precinct and shall bear the
same number as said ward.
Section 3. That for the purpose of municipal elections the
following are fixed as polling places :
For Ward No. 1. The South one-half of the Bristol-
Kendall Fire Station located at the intersection of Bridge
Street and Franklin Street, in the Borough of Yorkville,
For Ward No. 2. The North one-half of the Bristol-
Kendall Fire Station located at the intersection of Bridge
Street and F'ranklin Street: in the Borough of Yorkville.
For Ward No. 3. Old High School Building, Center
Streets in the Borough of Bristol.
Section 4. That all ordinances or parts of ordinances in
conflict herewith be and the same are hereby amended insofar as
the same conflict.
Section 5. That this Ordinance shall be in full force and
effect ten (10) days after its passage, approval and publication
as provided by law.
