Ordinance 1964-07 AN ORDINANCE ESSTABLISHING PARALLEL PARKING ON BRIDGE STREET BETWETnT VAN EY'YCN STREET A71\7r, TFE FOX 71VER BE IT ORDAINED by the City Council of the United City of the Village of Yorkville, Kendall County, Illinois : Section 1 - That, it has been determined by the City Council that a hazardous traffic condition exists on Bride Street between Van Emmon Street and the Fox River in the said City, and in order to protect the public and to provide for the safety and welfare of pedestrians and motor vehicle operators along and upon said street, that portion of said street between Van Emmon Street and the Fox River should be designated for parallel parking only. Section 2 - That, ?3ri.dge Street between VPn Emmon Street and th.e Fox River shall be d.esi-mated for parallel parking only in those areas of said street so marked, adjacent to the travelled portion of said street, and all vehicles parking adjacent to the North. bound lane of Bridge Street, shall park parallel with. the front of said auto facie; in a Northerly direction, and all vehicles parking adjacent to the South bound lane of Bridge Street, shall park parallel with the front of said auto facing in a Southerly direction. Section 3 - That, it shall be unlawful to perk any vehicle upon Bridge Street in the City of Yorkville between Van Emmon Street and the Fox River, other than parallel to the travelled portion of Bridge Street in areas so designated and marked for parallel parking; and no vehicle shall be -parked upon the aforesaid street for more than �i��� consecutive hours , between the hours of 6 :00 A. and 8:00 P . l,`. daily, including Sundays and holidays; nor shall any motor vehicle be left Mucc Ti1A40 unattended for a period ofAfifteen minutes between the hours of 1:00 A. 1"1. and 5:00 A. M. , including Sundays and Holidays. • M 2 - Section LL - That, the provisions of this Ordinance shall become effective at 1:00 A. July 1, 1964, at which time all ordinances in conflict herewith are expressly repealed.. 'However, this Ordinance shall not affect or modify any other ordinances of the United City of the �Tilla`e of Yorkville, Illinois, except as the same directly conflict herewith. Section 5 - Any -person, firm or corporation violating any provision of this Ordinance shall be fined not less than Cne Dollar ( 41.00) , nor more than One Hundred "Dollars ( " 100 .00) , for each offense.
