Ordinance 1964-13 AN ORDINANCE CONCERNING PARKING ON NORTH MAIN STREET BETWEEN HYDRAULIC AVENUE AND THE FOX RIVER IN THE UNITED CITY OF THE VILLAGE OF YORKVILLE, KENDALL COUNTY, ILLINOIS BE IT ORDAINED by the City Council of the United City of the Village of Yorkville, Kendall County, Illinois : Section 1 - That there is hereby established the follow- ing rules and regulations relative to parking of motor vehicles upon North Main Street between Hydraulic Avenue and the Fox River in the City of Yorkville : (a) All motor vehicles shall be parked at the curb or street edge headed in the direction of travel, at an angle of approxl mately degrees to the curb or edge of the street and shall be parked within marked parking spaces where such spaces are marked off on the pavement; all vehicles shall be parked in the direction of travel and so parked that the right fron wheel shall be no further than twelve (12") inches from the curb or edge of the street . (b) No motor vehicle shall be parked, which if parked, would extend toward the center of the street more than seventeen (171 ) feet from the respective curb line or edge of the street, measured at right angles therefrom. ( c) The proper City officials shall have the authority to designate not to exceed six (6) spaces as emergency parking for physicians, employees or patients. (d) The term "vehicles" or "motor vehicles" shall mean any self-propelled vehicle or vehicles which can be towed by another self-propelled vehicle and shall include all motor driven, or towed, vehicles whether or not the State law requires licensing of same. Section 2 - Any violation of rules and regulations set forth in Section 1 hereof by any person, firm or corporation, shall be punished by a fine of not less than One Dollar ( $1.00) nor more than Fifty Dollars ( t50 .00) . Section 3 - The invalidity of any Section or part of this Ordinance shall not effect the remainder thereof and this Ordinance shall repeal only the ordinances, or parts of ordinances, in direct conflict therewith. /�J r A .. 2 r Section 4 - This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage, approval and pub- lication as required by law.
