Ordinance 1959-31 AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE PEDDLER 'S AND SOLICITOR ' S ORDINANCE BY ADDING THERETO SECTION TWO-A BE IT ORDAINED by the City Council of the United City of the Village of Yorkville, Kendall County, Illinois : That an ordinance entitled, Peddler's and Solicitor ' s Ordinance, as passed and approved May 16, 1952, is hereby amended by adding thereto Section Two-a: Section Two-a: Upon an application for such license the applicant must submit with said application at least two 2 x 32 inch photographs of the applicant; the names and addresses of not less than two references as to his moral character, honesty and integrity; a statement concerning whether he or she has ever been convicted of any felony or misde- meanor;'and shall allow h-mself or herself to be fingerprinted by the Police Department . The Chief of Police shall, before a license is issued, investigate the moral character and business responsibilities of the applicant, and based upon his investigation he shall sub- mit in writing to the City Clerk a written statement either approving or disapproving the application. The City Clerk shall only issue a license upon the basis of said written state- ment from the Chief of Police approving said application, which statement shall be submitted to the City Clerk not more than 24 hours after the original application has been made. 2 - All Ordinances in conflict herewith are hereby repeal- ed except that nothing herein contained shall be deemed to in anywise repeal the Peddler' s and Solicitor' s Ordinance heretofore passed and approved May 16, 1952. This ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage and publication as provided by law. Passed this - --�-=-�- day of June, A.D. , 1959.
