City Council Minutes 1936 05-04-36 May 4th , 1936.
ii The regular monthly meeting of the President and Board of
Trustees of the Village of Yorkville, held in the Council
Chambers of said Village on the above date and called to order
by' President Devereaux at 7:30 P. M.
Find present on roll call were : President Devereaux,
Trustees, Schumacher, Munson , Barkley, Loomis, Schulter and
Clerk Armbruster; Trustee Hage-absent .
The clerk annual report was then read and motion by Schu-
macher seconded by Barkley , the clerks report be accepted as j
read. ( See next page for report. )
Clerk reported the receipt of $8.00 from the Village of
Bristol for use of Tractor.
The following bills were then read and on motion by Schu-
macher seconded by Loomis the bills be referred to the finance
committee and if found correct paid when funds are available.

seconded by Munson the resolution was adopted.

An application for Superintendent of Streets from Martin J.
Behrens was then read; on motion by Loomis , seconded by Scbnmache
M. J. Behrens be hired as Superintendent of Streets for the en-
suing year. s
An application for nightwatchman from Joe Eccles was then read':
On motion by Barkley, seconded by Loomis Joe Eccles be hired as
Night watchman for the month of May.
An application was then read for Superintendent of Water -'orks,
from James Barkley. On motion by Schumacher, seconded by Hunston
James Barkley be hired as Supt. of Water Works for the ensuing
year.
On Motion by Schumacher, seconded by Loomis , one half of Treas4-
urers salary be paid out of Mater fund.
President Devereaux then appointed H. W. Bretthauer, Village
Treasurer for the ensuing year.
On motion meeting adjourned.

' (12) bonds of Five Hundred Dollars ($500.00 ) each, issued in 1
accordance with said ordinance , nu_iibered one (1) to twelve (12) r
inclusive, and each bond being a coupon bond, carrying, appropriat
" coupons; these bonds are not speciall assessment bonds, but are
the direct obligation of the Village'of Yorkville, and issued hn
accordance with an orainance passed and approved September 10th,
A.D. 1928 , submitted to the. voters under an ordinance calling a
special election dated 8epteraber 10th, A.D. 192£x , and approved

negative, and a certified copy of which ordinance which included 1

` Kendall County, Illinois, upon Cctbber 11th, 1928, where the same '
appears of record.
