City Council Minutes 1937 05-03-37 (2) Yorkville, Illinois May 3,1937 it The first regular meeting of the President and Board of r Trustees of the Village of Yorkville with its newly elected members held in the Village Hall of said Village on the above date ,,and called to order by President Devereaux at 9:30 P.M. May 3,1937 Finding present on roll call were President Devereaux, i Trustees Armbruster,Barkley,Schumacher,Loomis,Munson,sa& ii Schulter and Clerk Ament . i President Devereaux then appointed the following Committees for the ensuing year. Streets and Alley--Munson,Barkley,Armbruster. Lights-------------Armbruster,Schulter, Schumacher. ii Water--------------Schumacher,Armbruster,Schulter. Finance------------Barkley,Schumacher,Loomis. {{ Health-------------Schulter,Schumacher,Munson. Police And Fire----Loomis,Armbruster,Munson. i� P.W.A. and W.P.A.--Armbruster,Loomts,Schulter. �j On motion by Loomis seconded by Munson to abide by decisionii of the drawing for term of office as follows; Two year term-----Munson,Loomis,Schulter. li Four year term----Schumacher,Barkley,Armbruster. Ij Ayes Five Nays None. Carried and so ordered. On motion by Barkley seconded by Munson that copies of the Village Treasurers Report be made and circulated to each member of the Board. Roll Call Ayes Five Nays None. Carried and so orde�'ed. On motion by Loomis seconded by Barkley consents to the refunding of the Water Improvement Indebtedness Certificates be placed on file. Carried and so ordered. l I, The Treasurer thereupon made a report that the sf?-^ of j $2, 500.00 was necessary to fund the indebtedness in`. the Water i Department. I .f j On motion by Loomis seconded by Schumacher the report of the Treasurer be accepted and approved. Ayes Five Nays None. � Carried and so ordered. On motion by Schumacher seconded by Munson an ordinance be prepared and presented refunding $4 100.00 outstanding Water- !? Works Certificates and funding the 62, 500.00 debt and that Certificates be issued for such purpose bearing interest at four and one half percent payable annually and that the form of said ordinance and Water Certificates be approved by the Water Committee and be presented at the next regular or special meetin . Roll Call- Ayes Five Nays None. Carried and so ordered. j Attorney Clark reported receiving a letter from the Chicago,ll Burlington and Quincy Rail Road stating that they would not require the $10.00 fee for a permit to put a sewer under their 1 '°; tracks but wished to be notified of the time of the. installation.i! Applications from the following were then received; James Barkley for Superintendent of the Water Works. Martin Behrens for Superintendent of Streets. Roger Clark for Village Attorney. rj On motion by Schumacher seconded by Armbruster the Super- intendent of Streets and the Superintendent of Waterworks each be paid $75.00 per Wnth.^Carried and so ordered. j 1 fie, CA -s3 On motion by Loomis seconded by Schumacher the employment of a nightwatchman be defered and the present nightwatchman continue to function. Roll Call Ayes Five Nays None. if Carried and so ordered. i! On motion by Loomis seconded by Schumacher James Barkley be employed as Superintendent of Waterworks, Martin Behrens be employed as Superintendent of Streets and Roger Clark be employed as Village Attorney. Roll Call Ayes Five Nays None. If Carried and so ordered. On motion the meeting adjourned. - l 6 I Q Clerk. s d nt. !; +i �I `; it We the owners and holders of Waterworks Improvement Indebtedness Certificates hereby agree to surrender the* dame and receive in place thereof a new issue of like tenor and effect as to amount and due dates, except , that the rate of interest thereon shall be 4 per cent , and we hereby agree that the Village of Yorkville may increase the present outstanding issue by $2500 in making such new issue.
