City Council Minutes 1937 06-21-37 June 21,1937 The meeting adjourned from June 7,1937 of the President and Board of Trustees of the Village of Yorkville,held in the Village Hall of said Village on June 21,1937 and called to order by President Devereaux at S:OOP.M. Finding present on Roll Call were President Devereaux,Trusteesl ; Schumacher,Armbruster,Barkley,lAunson,Loomis and Clerk Ament " Absent; Schulter. An ordinance was read refunding the present debt of $4200 jl in the water dept, and f6nding an additional amount of $2500-- 3 s-ee next page. On motion of Armbruster , seconded by Yunson, that the ; ordinance be passed and adopted the following vote was recorded. Ayes--Schumacker , Armbruster, Barkley; Munson. Nayes--none. The president declared this motion carried, the i' ordinance adopted. !! i, An appropriation ordinance was read as follows: i On !notion by Schumacker , Seconded by Barkley the ordinance be passed and adopted, the following vote was recorded. Allen I be granted a permit to sell fireworks provided sale of same j! be carried on inside of his restaurant and not beginning before JI-11Y 1 , 1937• Carried and so ordered. i Bidsfor approximately 10000gallons of E 4 Road Oil to be furnished and applied to the streets of the Village of Yorkville ; ii were received. Theiry were as follows: !i McCarthy Asphalt Company @ .07� per gallon. i Nelson Motor Sales Company ® .06� Per gallon. A.0. Johnson & Son 0 .059 per gallon. ii On motion by 1unson, seconded by Schumacker the Street and Alley Committee be authorized to purchase the road oil ii from the lowest bidder. Ayes--Schumacker , Armbruster, Barkley, f� Munson. Nayes--None. it Trustee Armbruster reported that the cost of a fence at the garbage dump on the Public Service property would be about $50.0d, exclusive of labor--also that the representative of the Public Service Company had given permission to construct such a fence. Action on this matter was defured until the next meeting. The following sutras are hereby appropriated for corporate purposes of the Village of Yorkville, Kendall County, Illinois as hereinafter specified for the fiscal year beginning May 1 , 1937. For Interest on and for maturing right of way bonds $590-00 - i For waterworkds bonds and interest 752.00 For maintenance and operation of waterworks including necessary rep&irs and replacements (but not including pumping) including salary of Supt. 1400.00- For pumping for waterworks .00 For street lighting 1000.00 For salaries of all officers of Village (not including employees) 365.00- For improving and maintenance of streets andalleys (not including; any improvements under gas tax) including salary of Supt. 2000.00- For improvements of streets from gas tax funds when, as and if allowed and received during fiscal year 1700.00 { I For wages 'of Village -Larshall and Watchman service 1200.00- !!
