City Council Minutes 1937 10-04-37 October 4,1937 The regular monthly meeting of the President and Board of Trustees of the Village of Yorkville held in the Village Hall of Bald-,�vtl-WOIdn October 4,1937 and called to order by President Devereaux at 7:30 P.M. Finding present on roll call were President Devereaux, Trustees Armbruster,Munson,Schumacher,Loomis ,Barkley and Clerk Ament. Absent:Trustee Schulter. Minutes of the regular meeting held September 7,1937 were read and so ordered approved. A petetion from the property owners and residents adjacent to and in the vicinity of Orange and State streets and adjanent to and in the vicinity of the south end of Main street in the Village of Yorkville for proper and adequate street lights at these places was received and on motion by Trustee Schumacher seconded by Trustee Barkley the said petetion be referred to the committee on street lighting. Roll Call; Ayes Five Nays None. Carried and so ordered. An application from the Kendall County Farm Bureau was received for a building permit for a building to be built at Lot 5 in Black 6 in Black' s Addition to the Village of Yorkville. There being no objection the said permit was approved and granted. An application for city water supply was received from the Kendall County Farm Bureau and the said application was approved and the Kendall County Farm Bureau be granted the right to use the city water subject to the Ordinance of the Village of Yorkville governing the said water supply. On motion by Trustee Armbruster seconded by Trustee Munson the Voucher #hR.A.93 for the amount of $1, 52+.07 mentioned in the communication from the Division of Highways should, when received, ,be deposited in the Motor Fuel Tax Fund Account. Ayes Five Nays None. Carried and so ordered. Chief of Police Martyn read a report of Police Department of the Village of Yorkville for the period from September 19- to September 30,1937 inclusive. There being 17 a8rests for speedin# and 2 for disorderly eonduct.Total fine amounted to 890.00. On motion the report was unanimously approved. On motion by Trustee Schumacher seconded by Trustee Barkley the Board of Trustees confirms the action taken by the Police Committee on September 20,1937 and that money collected by the Police Department be carried in a special police account and that and that the Treasures draw an order on the General Account to be transfered to the Police Account and that the employment of Franklin Martyn as Chief of Police of the Vill age of Yorkville by the police committee be confirmed by this Board.
