City Council Minutes 1937 11-01-37 November 1,1937 j The regular monthly meeting of the President and Board of lTrustees of the Village of Yorkville held in the Village Hall of " said village on November 1, 1937 and called to order by President'! Devereaux at 8:00 P.M. Finding present on roll call were President Devereaux j ' Trustees Schumacher,Barkley,Munson,Loomis,Armbruster and Clerk Ament. Absent Trustee Schulter. Ij ; Minutes of the regular meeting held October 4,1937 were �I read and so ordered approved. Trustee Armbruster reported that in the matter of the l street lights to be installed at the south end of Main St. and at the intersection of State and Orange St. the request had been lil sent to the Public Service Co. of N. Illinois and that the lights would probably be installed within a week. Trustee Schumacher reported that the Water Committee had advertised for bids for the material for the water main to be laid in Hydralle Ave. between Main St and Adams St. and the following bids were received. A.C. Merkel- $361.37 plus sales ta=i: Armbruster Hdw. Co $ 367.06 plus sales tax. A.C.Merkel being the lowest bidder received the order for the material. The labor to be hired locally by the hour. On motion by Trustee Schumacher seconded by Trustee '! Armbruster the men working on the watermain be paid at the rate of 50 cents per hour. !' Bills were the read as follows and on Motion by Trustee Schumacher seconded. by Trustee Munson the bills be referred to the Finance Committee and be uaid if found correct. The total fines $102.55. The report was unanimously approved. �I A petetion was received from the property owners on Heustis street requesting that the sewer on Heustis street be taken over by the Village .
