City Council Minutes 1938 05-09-38 (Special CC) May 9,1938 A special meeting of the President and Board of Trustees of the Village of Yorkville was held 11'ay 9, 1938 at 1"'unson' s Barber Shop at 7;710 P.T . -oursuant to the folloring call: To the Board of Trustees of the Village of Yorkville; U At the direction of the President of the '9oard of Trustees of the 'Tillage of Yorkville you are hereby notified of a special meeting of the President and Board of Trustees of the Village of Yorkville to be held at "unson' s Barber Shop on Vonq,,i'Nr1, 11ay 9,1938 at 7:70 P .T for the nurnose of revisiw; of the Village emuloyes , to define the duties of Vi _ia b e employes and to consider P., resolution to reduce the burning hours of lights . On motion by Trustee Schumacher seconded by Trustee Armbruster a resolution be drafted reE�nrding economizing on street light, The street lights to be burned from dusk to 12 dclock midnight-Roll Call Ayes; Schu-macher, 9chulter,RCLrkley,Loo-mi s ,`'uns on,Armbruster i ITays; 1�one Carried and so ordered. It was decided that the 81-00 pay the President and Board of Trustees now received for attending meetings should be d1sr,,ensed with. On motion by Trustee Armbruster seconded by Trustee Schulter that the nigInt,47pt-chman be dispensed with tem-oorarily, effective June 1 , 1938 . Roll Call. On motion by Trustee 71"unson seconded by Trustee Loomis the 1-ages of the Superintendent of Streets and- the Superintendent of Waterworks be reduced 10%, effective, June 1, 1938 . Carried and so ordered. ay 9,1938 ( C )nt) The Board decided that the Superintendent of Streets and the Superintendent of Vvaterworks shall be given Saturday afternoons off and the Superintendent of Streets shall work every other Sunday on the Vaterworks . On motion the meeting was adjourned. Clerk. President. : it it A Yorkville, Illinois May 1-4,1939 TO THE HOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE VILLAGE OF YORKVILLE. The following is my report of estimates as nearly as may be of moneys necessary to defray the expenses of the corporation during the current fiscal year : For interest on right-of-way bonds $ 67.50 For payment of maturing right-of-way bonds 500.00 For street lighting and pumping l,$50.00 For salaries and labor 3, 50.00 For improvement of the streets 3,300.00 For cement vialks and curbs 300.00 For fire equipment and supplies 325.00 For garbage 387.00 The aggregate income of the Village of Yorkville for the proceeding ear from all sources including water revenue was the sum of ;15,431.73 . The amount; of liabilities outstanding, upon_ which interest is to be paid is $ 9000.00 including water revenue. Certificates payable during the year are Right of Way bonds A500.00 payable October 1, 1938 and water certificates 8700.00 being payable Tdovember 1,1938.
