The regular monthly meeting of the President and Board of
Trustees of the Village of Yorkville held in the Village Hall of
said Village on ITovember 7,1938 and called to order by President
Devereaux at 8:00 P.11.
Finding present on roll call were President Devereaux, Trustees
Schumacher,Loomis,Munson,Barkley am Clerk Ament. Absent Trustee
Schulter.
P:Zinutes of the regular meeting held October 3, 1938 and of the
adjourned regular meeting held October 24, 1938 were read and so
ordered approved.
The regular monthly reports of the Clerk, Chief of Police and
Police -Magistrate were read and unanimously approved
Bills as follows were then read and on motion by Trustee
Loomis seconded by Trustee Barkley the bills be referred to the
Finance Committee and be paid if found to be correct.

Nays ; None. Carried and so ordered.

The returns of a Special Villa.P-e Election held on November "2,
1938 .,,ere then canvassed as follows :-
On the "Ordinance providing for the issuance of 115,000.00
sewage disnosal plant bonds of the Village of Yorkville,Kendall
County, Tl_1 inois, and nrov�.ding for the levy of a direct annual
tax to pay principal and interest on same" .
Yumber voting Yes - 103
Plumber voting No - 2
The largest number of votes having been cast in favor of the
said Ordinance the Ordinance was declared passed and adapted.
For member of the Board of Trustees, to fil.1 vacancy due to the
resignation of Earl J. Armbruster the voting was as follows ;

John R. 11arshall, having received the largest number of votes
was declared elected Village Trustee to fill the vacancy in the
Village Board.
On motion by Trustee Schumacher seconded by Trustee Munson
a zoning ordinance with reference to taverns and a zoning
ordinance with reference to junk yards be drafted and presented
at the next meeting.
Carried and so ordered.
Yorkville, Illinois
November 7, 1938
Paul Zwoyer addressed the Board of Trustees in reference to ?'
the American Legion pro, ect of cleaning un the south bank
of Fox River from Bridge Street eastward to the dam. He stated
that the Legion could obtain a long time lease from the Public
Service Co. of RI. Illinois, owner of the nroperty, if the
Village would be willing to give up their agreement w*th the
Public Service Co. to use part of the property for a dumping
ground.
On motion by Trustee Loomis seconded by 'rustee Barkley
the Village give up it' s claim to the dumping ground. on the
Public Service Co. property as soon as a new dumping ground is
secured. Carried and so ordered.
On motion the meeting was adjourned.
